About me

Hi, I'm Ammone (they/them). I’m a counsellor & psychotherapist with 5+ years experience working in helping professions, and I provide online individual therapy for adults (18+) in the UK. Working from a person-centred & integrative foundation, I consider my approach first and foremost in the context of the person sitting across from me. This means I take into consideration your personal circumstances, individual needs, and goals for therapy, and I integrate skills/tools/techniques from a wide range of therapeutic approaches, with the aim of providing therapy that is sensitively attuned to each client that I have the privilege of working with. If you'd like to learn more about me/my background/lived experiences, clicking the link below will take you directly to that information.

My Approach

01

Humanistic

My commitment to a humanistic approach is centred around my belief in the importance of seeing and treating people as whole, autonomous human beings, as opposed to merely a sum of parts, or a series of diagnostic labels/symptoms. This means I aim to always treat you with respect, empathy, and non-judgement. And I aim to always support your autonomy by supporting you in exploring your thoughts, feelings, and experiences on your own terms, and at your own pace.

02

Integrative

My commitment to an integrative approach is centred around my belief that a one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t work for everyone. Working from an integrative approach means I can draw from different modalities depending on what might be most appropriate for the work that we do together in sessions. Ultimately, I aim to work collaboratively with you to get a sense of what support you might need, and to establish a shared understanding of how best we might work together going forwards to accommodate your needs, circumstances, and any goals that you might have for therapy.
